I have realised by making this playmat that I am too impatient for quilting.
I always want to see the finished product straight away- so this was very rushed and clumsy.
My next attempt will be smaller and neater.

Baby Blues

I've decided to take a break from making toys- and my latest thing is pathwork quilting! Yes- all very nanna-esk, but fun non the less. Here is the beginnings of a playmat for Finn. A bit wonky in parts, but I was rather pleased with myself for a first attempt.

The Soft Menagerie

These creatures are just about finished and waiting to be dropped off to Artisan for the Cherish Christmas Showcase. Making the woodland animals was a lot harder than I imagined it would be- involving a lot of time researching the animals characteristics, working out patterns, and piecing them together. I won't be doing it again in a hurry. In fact I'm taking a break from sewing softies and going to concentrate on other mediums for a while.
