I am still slowly working on the new softie idea..
This one has a little squeaky heart attached to a ribbon, and lots of tags.
I'll attempt to make it this weekend.

Made out of a rather naff multi-coloured stretchy glove.

Prototype #2

Here is my second attempt at the new style of softies- this time it is out of jersy knit and has a little squeeker in the middle. I think I still need to make the limps longer and floppier, more bits of ribbon and tags for the baby to slobber and suck on, and work on the face. It's getting a bit closer.

A friend of mine recently told me that little hand stitches make her feel happy. I thought about that as I made this one- I think tiny hand stitches must make me feel happy too.

Protoype

I finished a little prototype for my animalbabe idea. It didn't work out exactly as I hoped, but it's a start and now I know how to improve it (using stretch knit fabric, refine the body shape).

The things I do like about it are that it is a great size for little chubby baby fingers to grab, and Finn loved to suck on the bits of ribbon.

I made a little prototype for my animalbabe idea- it didn't really work out exactly as I hoped, but I know now what I need to do to make it better (stretchy knit fabric that won't pucker and refine the shape. I do like that it's limbs are a prefect size for little chubby hands to grab easily, and from testing it out on Finn he liked to suck on the bits of ribbon.
